THE END

*read left to right as normal!*

I decided to test myself by drawing some comic pages - I've always wanted to try and create my own book and I was recently inspired by such great artists like [link], [link] (her comics are so beautifully drawn - go buy her books!), [link] etc.

I did learn a lot whilst doing this and I now see some flaws in my technique - some of these new ways of working will take getting used to though (I have to give up my love of detail, must. give. it. up. lol). This is also the first time I screentoned anything and I loved it!

Gradient and Texture, my two new best friends :D

Good critique is greatly appreciated - As this was an exercise in learning something new and not about how sexy can I make Link look :D (btw, he's not bad, right? lol)

thanks! ^.^

This is totally unrelated, but I loved the spider boss in Twilight Princess. Easiest boss ever. <3

Action scenes are really hard to draw. It's a bit hard to follow, but you still did a really good job with this. Your attention to detail is amazing. I don't know how you can stay focused long enough to do all that detail work xD

Did he stab through the armor? Why not in its navel? Its whole belly is unguarded.

I hear that everyone's entitled to their own opinion. So in my opinion, your opinion is wrong.

Monday sits outside the window. I close the blinds and do not answer, but it will break in tomorrow and wake me up at 7 anyway.

YOu did make him look sexy!

ok now for feedback:
I like the drawings and the detail... but for me, the action was kind of confusing. I didn't get how one action led to the next... Thats the best I could explain it... heheh

Nice comics though.

Thank you.

and lol, sorry about the abrupt ending - but like I say it was only a test of skill! I am planning to do a proper comic involving some characters from TP at a later date - but prep is everything at the moment! :)

These are nice! Layout is always the one thing that holds me back from ever attempting comics of my own, but I think your panels are nice, and some of the perspective shots are cool. I think, though, what might aid you, especially in a fight scene, are less close ups and more images that show full action. Also, definitely try keeping the 180 rule in mind when you set up your shot. I\'m not sure if you\'re familiar with it since it\'s mostly associated with film, but [here] is the Wiki on it if you need it. Yay Link!! =D
