Well I thought I better get some practice in with the new tablet, but I didn't have any good, spare, line arts hanging around... So I choose one of my favourite drawings here on DA to colour :)

You can probably tell I used two different methods of colouring on here. I began with the lasso tool, but quickly found that to be more restrictive that just rough colour and a bit of smudging, which is the main technique used.

Things I like... I think I kept the dark colouring of the piece quite well and the colouring method and palette is certainly an improvement for me. The Moblins came out looking the best :)

Things I dislike... Dust. Clouds. Mainly the dust though, just how do you draw that?! Oh and the fact the moblins looks better than Link, lol.

Aww, such a sweet picture!! I would say you're colourings actually really good, you managed to keep everything the same tone and make the colours blend in togther. As for drawing dust, mabye you can do it with the airbursh tool or something on a seprate layer and reduce the layer opcity so it's translucent?? that's what I'lld try anyway! :D

Awesome, LJ! The coloring on this is just great, and you just got your new tabbie! ^__^ Can't wait to see what you have in store for us in the future. :) I honestly don't have much to critique. I prefer metal to have a bit more contrast, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with what you've done here. Something actually that's no fault of yours is I think Zelda's arm is quite skeletal... :XD: She needs some flesh. This is a definite fav. :)
