Snow boarding on a frozen leaf was good. But boarding using your Hylian Shield? Absolutely-positively-fantastic-amount-of-sweet-fudge-awesome!

I love the snow trail down to Snowpeak Mansion. I know a few people who call it disappointing because Snowpeak turned out to be just a path to a mansion (even I was expecting some vast ice wastes that could be explored!). But the road to Death Mountain is just a path too, except you can't surf down that one! Which just puts Snowpeak up a notch in my book :D

I still think the shield should have been used instead of the leaf. I have such a bad relationship with my defensive device in the Zelda games - I always viewed the shield as a bit pointless when you could hack away with the Master Sword! Twilight Princess really gave me a first taster of a good use for the shield. I loved bashing Lizalfos with my Hylian shield :D But to also make it a snowboard? Well that would have just made me fall in love with it.

I want to colour this. But I just don't have the time, which is sad because this is a good drawing. So I gave it some thought and the idea of seeing someone else colour it actually appealed to me greatly (because I need some colouring tips!). If you feel you can add to the image with your brilliant colouring skills, let me know!

If I'm intrigued I will hook you up with the proper psd file! (Oh and if you were curious, yes this picture does have a background - just didn't seem right to ink it too)

I was thinking the same thing as TronmanZ: definitely gives me a Legolas vibe. xD That aside, I'm really liking all the little details. :3 That shield is instantly recognizable, and you even made a lovely jagged edge on the Keese wings. =o

xDD Wow very well done! Yeah I see what you mean. I was dissappointed in it only being a trail too. I rather have more snow and more things to find in it, xD. I had this one image on my desktop background for the longest time of wolf Link running towards a bridge in the snow. I didn't see that scene in the game at all, I wonder what they even did with it. Amazingly there were a lot of Poe Souls there for such a small area. I have basically scrounged around head to toe, top to bottom, side to side of Snow Peak as a wolf. I liked sledding down it too but I like your idea much better. Using the shield would have been awesome! Well done on the drawing! If I was better at digitally coloring I'd color it, but I suck really. xD

That is one awesome picture!!! Snowpeak was a blast, did you race the Yetti yet? That was a lot of fun too.

Awww, that is a shame! I'd love to see you colour this... (if you find any spare time and get the urge, let me know :D ).

I can sympathise with being busy... I have a backlog of comments here on devart which should have been answered months ago, lol.

You know I'd completely forgotten about Legolas' stair surfing :D the idea must have subconsciously worked its way in...! Still, Link doing it would have been way better than Legolas ;)

Thanks, I do like my detail! The Keese were an afterthought too... I can't believe this started as a simple sketch...

Thanks and yeah I've raced both Yetis :D Trying to get my time down to one minute, but 1.16 is the best so far (then again, I do just mess around when I'm racing!)

Hmmm, don't recall a bridge, but then a lot of stuff was taken out - for example the large woooded area :( Yes there do seem to be many poes hanging around Snowpeak, perhaps they like the chilly weather, brrrrrr!

Ah shield love, we must spread the shield love! Actually I do wonder if they originally intended you to use your shield... There is an AR code that allows you to equip the 'surf leaf' no info, but interestingly (and perhaps tellingly) the icon for it happens to be the Hylian Shield and not the usual default black rupee... Hmmmm...
