I personally think it would've been REAL awesome if they did have your style of Kokiri Forest in the final game. Did I mention there was kick a.. screenshots that never made it that were darn (cool) where Link was going to do a lot of horse combat with enemies surrounding him on all sides with mean looking baddies that got dumbed down.
This was actually suppose to be in the Twilight Princess where there was going to be extensive forest traveling requiring the use of your horse and the lantern but that all got scrapped which we instead got a rinky dink path by the lantern guy before you come out at Hyrule Field.
They had 3 years to come up with cool unique ideas for TP but I am convinced they spent most of it arguing with each other about how to do this or that in which nobody could agree on anything but they knew the fans (needed) something so they finally all said after much name calling and tearing hair: "Fine! We'll give those fans their damn Zelda game. Hope they're happy!" and this is what we get. If you didn't see the interviews there was a lot of hope for much more until they started the delay process which everything went down hill. I knew it would so I am not too devestated
Once the delay started a still voice said inside of me to not get my hopes up and prepare for a lot of features to be cut and/or edited but at least I got it for the Gamecube so I don't have tacked on Wii controls which from tohr reviews say it's a pain in the butt.
very nice, this is a beautiful interpretation of the forest. in oot i often got frustrated that you couldn't get past the 2-d "painted" forest walls and explore around a bit more. i imagine this may have been what i would have found on the edge of the forest near the main field

Don't forget your daily dose of gaming! (And TV, books, drawing, and what not!)
